“Brian Pawlowski currently serves as currently the Chief Development Officer (CDO) at Quantum, responsible for leading the company’s software development and engineering teams, driving innovation in Quantum’s product portfolio, and executing the company’s technology strategy.

He previously served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at DriveScale, a software company that provides an enterprise-grade solution for managing and orchestrating data center infrastructure.

He has served on the Board of Trustees for the Anita Borg Institute for Women in Computing and the Board of Trustees for the Linux Foundation.

Prior to joining DriveScale in 2018, Pawlowski worked as a Vice President and Chief Architect at Pure Storage

During his 21-year tenure at NetApp, a multinational storage and data management company, Pawlowski held roles ranging from leading performance engineering to head of customer service to Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer where he was responsible for leading the company’s technology strategy and architecture.

Before NetApp, Pawlowski spent 6 years at Sun Microsystems (later acquired by Oracle), where he managed their file system strategy and was co-architect of the Network File System (NFS) protocol.

He has a number of patents in the areas of storage virtualization and distributed file systems.”
