Today’s episode is with Mike Tamir. Mike has served as Head of Data Science at Uber ATG, and as a lecturer for UC Berkeley’s Data Science program.

Mike has a background in physics, and his early research focused on developing the epsilon-anchor methodology for resolving an inconsistency he highlighted in the dynamics of Einstein’s Theory of Relativity.

Today Chad and Mike talk about his work, the state of natural language processing and understanding, and AI’s role in preventing the spread of misinformation. They also talk about GPT-2, the release of GPT-3, what they mean for the industry, and Mike’s thoughts on the future of AI and humanity.
