About the Guest:
BIO: Bio from LinkedIn: “As a passionate believer in innovation, I’ve dedicated my career to shifting the surveillance industry from traditional analog closed-circuit television to network video through my work. In that relatively short timeframe since the first network camera, technology has caused a profound shift in the way the market operates, and the value we can provide to our customers. An expanding internet and the adoption of cloud-based solutions have allowed technology to permeate every facet of our lives, creating a growing opportunity for both security and business applications.
A 20-year Axis Communications veteran, I have undertaken various roles in both Sweden and the United States. I am currently the vice president of the Americas, overseeing the company’s operations in North and South America and serving on the global management team.
As an active participant in and promoter of industry associations, I think it’s important to continue to push the industry to innovate and share best practices with our partners and end users. In 2016, I was honored to receive the prestigious George R. Lippert Memorial Award, which is presented to individuals for their long-term service to SIA and the security industry, the impact of their efforts on behalf of SIA and the industry, as well as their integrity, leadership, and diplomacy in industry dealings. I was also inducted into the Security Hall of Fame in 2017.
I am also the author of the book, “Intelligent Network Video,” published by CRC Press, which is now available in its second edition. It is a comprehensive reference for anyone involved in developing, implementing, and maintaining the growing complex technological landscape of surveillance systems. The book is currently being used for training from several industry associations.
I received a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Lund Institute of Technology, as well as postgraduate studies in economics.”
